The earth is not confused.

All I can do is laugh at my environment: ice barely melts before refreezing; grass soaks up sun, only to be blanketed by fresh April snow; rain falls, but turns to snow, and here’s the sun again. All this change, the tug of war between two seasons, seems spastic and confused. It’s not, though. It’s the nature of transition. Thankfully the earth still seems to know what it’s doing.

About Jenna Beaulieu

Jenna is a writer and fine art photographer who recently moved from the Saint John Valley region to the quiet side of Mount Desert Island. She’s a fan of excellent music, homemade gravy, and colored pencils (also, short books and long books, good pens, flannel, and when the June bugs don’t really come out much that year).
