Look out

Going up CadillacA woman, maybe in her late twenties, sits on the rock farthest to the left and stares out over the rolling, verdant landscape. She may be thinking about how not having money is limiting, or how love can also be lonely, or whether she should be what she’s chosen. Perhaps she just hiked up this mountain to escape from her laundry. I never ask her, and leave her story up to my imagination.

About Jenna Beaulieu

Jenna is a writer and fine art photographer who recently moved from the Saint John Valley region to the quiet side of Mount Desert Island. She’s a fan of excellent music, homemade gravy, and colored pencils (also, short books and long books, good pens, flannel, and when the June bugs don’t really come out much that year).
